Search Boise

People Matter. Relationships Matter. Truth Matters. Lunch Matters.

Search-Boise was created to help men and women who are searching for meaningful answers to life's tough questions. We like to create non-threatening environments where all kinds of religious beliefs and perspectives can be shared and explored openly.

As part of the process, we throw a biblical perspective into the discussion as one of the options to be discussed. When he walked the earth 2000 years ago, Jesus invited the people around him to thoroughly investigate his teachings and claims.

We wish to extend the same invitation and opportunity to you today.

Jon Strain

email: jon.strain@searchministries.org

Area Director for Search in Idaho since 2002.  Raised in Montana, Jon earned a BA (Speech) at Idaho State University and Master of Divinity at Western Seminary, Portland. He has served in a pastoral role with college students in Utah, a church pastor in Utah and Idaho, and now considers himself “a pastor to the spiritually disenfranchised” in the Boise area. Jon trains men up in matters of the heart and mind, helping them take the next step toward God. Jon compatibly exudes a style that one participant described as “fun, open, friendly and serious-minded.” He is “on tap” for personal meetings and group leadership in most any setting.

Pam joined Search Boise, fall of 2013.  Raised a farmer’s daughter in Nebraska, she earned a BS (Social Work) at University of Nebraska- Kearney.  Those who know her best describe her as empathetic, wise, shepherding, encouraging and easy to be with.  Serving a mentoring/pastoral role with college students, she turned her attention full-time to the development, nurture and education of four sons.  A recent empty-nester, she has turned her focus to share with women in the Boise area, using these same core strengths.  She is often heard describing herself as “a spiritual cheerleader encouraging women take their next step towards God.”
